Culture writer for MTV News Ira Madison III called Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions and his Asian-American granddaughter a prop to distract from his racism.
After receiving some criticism from Jake Tapper, Madison deleted his initial tweet.
Although it seems clear that Sessions was using the baby to try to get the image of him holding a non-white baby as the default image of his confirmation, it won’t work.
lol loving jeff sessions' "how can i possibly be a racist when i'm holding this nonwhite baby" moment
